In this series of articles titled "leads," we will explore in more detail the different aspects of search engine optimization and search marketing. These terms are essential into the knowledge of Internet advertising. This article is reprinted in part from the authority Google.

When you advertise on a search engine, you choose keywords that relate to your product or service. Internet users type in your keywords and see your ad on the same page as their search results. Most offer space alongside the search results, or below the editorial portion of the page. These paid placement options are distinguished from paid inclusions.

Query A request for information, usually to a search engine or a database. The user types in words or topics, and the search engine returns matching results from its database. A query is at the center of every search engine interaction.
Keyword A specific c word, or combination of words, entered into a search engine that results in a list of pages related to the keyword. A keyword is the content of a search engine query.

Call to action Ad copy that encourages users to take a defined action. Examples range from “Click here” or “Buy
now” to “Enter now to win a free trip to Hawaii” or “Click to download a free white paper.”

Landing page An active web page where Internet users will “land” when they click your online ad. Your landing page
doesn’t need to be your home page. In fact, ROI usually improves if your landing page directly relates to your ad and immediately presents a conversion opportunity — whether that means signing up for a newsletter, downloading a software demo, or buying a product. Also known as a destination URL or clickthrough URL.

Paid placement A guaranteed listing that appears next to search results, usually in relation to specified keywords. In response to recent Federal Trade Commission guidelines, many search engines clearly identify paid placements
as “sponsored links” and run them separately from the editorial portion of the page. Paid placement programs are typically based on cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-thousand (CPM) pricing, and the cost is higher than paid inclusion ads. Also known as pay-for-placement.

Paid inclusion Guaranteed inclusion on a search engine’s results in exchange for payment, without any guarantee of how high the listing will appear. A paid inclusion appears to the user as an editorial listing rather than as a sponsored link. Pricing is typically based on a fl at fee or index fee.

Search advertising enables you to target your ads to the right customers at exactly the right time: when they are seeking information about your product or service. Advertisers choose which keywords they want their ads associated with, then their ads appear on search results pages or on content pages of sites related to those keywords. Targeting works hand in
hand with relevance to improve the effectiveness of your ad campaign.

When you begin to explore the whole category on Google of leads, you begin to realize that education and enlightenment about the core of Internet Marketing should be a priority. Unless you have the basics of marketing effectively online, you, like 95% of people in the home business industry, are simply rolling the dice to try to make money from a home business.

The questions enter here. Should I buy leads to promote my business? How much do sales leads cost? What is the ROI that I can expect from purchasing leads from a leads company? The entire scope of building successful businesses on Google requires essential elements be in place, before you can expect to gain any type of notoriety or presence for your website.

I have purchased leads in the past to attempt to build an online business. One of my first experiences with buying leads was from a company called Xooma Worldwide. They are the originators of the excellent ph raising sachet, that when ingested, naturally raises the ph of your body. The product was, and is excellent. Dan Putnam, co-founder of Xooma, had a system called the X2O builder. It was a lead management system. The whole program was designed to load leads, which you purchased from Dan, into the lead management system, and then call the people, take detailed notes about your call, and hopefully, close sales. The problem with this was the fact that the cold calls that I made were to people who did not know me, and certainly did not like being pitched on a deal. This is the results of buying leads that most have.

The second instance with my purchasing leads was with Herbalife International. I joined them some years ago. Here again, Herbalife is an excellent weight reducing system. The products are top level and many distributors make money with the business. I joined a new conceptual plan whereby you purchased wheel slots. A wheel slot was 100 leads. The cost of these leads was $350 per. The leads were supposedly fresh, telephone surveyed leads. When I would make cold phone calls to these people, I learned that the only thing fresh about the leads was that I used fresh money to put yet another notch in the belt of the leads brokers.

I could go on, but you get the overall picture that I have of buying leads to build a Google business. Leads that you buy are costly, and basically will be non-productive. In my professional opinion, you would be much better served in spending your money for a real Internet education, than buying leads.

I have noticed a trend that people are very prone to do when they first sign up for an internet marketing endeavor. Is called getting caught in the excitement of the moment. If they have listened to the promoters and thought about the huge money that they are going to be making and been talking about the project to a number of their contacts and friends, they enter into an almost hypnotic trance. Nothing seems to matter but the endeavor. These mlm junkies will spare no expense in going after the pot of gold at the end of that mystical internet marketing rainbow. Sometimes working madly for hours on end thinking nothing about anything except making that treasured $10000 per week like Mr. Big shot Marketer sold them on.

Now we are talking about money. Some of the big pay out programs cost thousands and thousands of dollars to join. But these people are more than willing to pull out the plastic and submit the form. They are setting themselves up for a disaster because more than likely, they really don't even know what the program is about and certainly would not have a clue as how to promote that program on the search engines.

After weeks and weeks of trying different avenues and buying leads that were supposed to be targeted and motivated leads that will make them money, our mlm junkie begins to wane. Feeling that gnawing of "ah-oh" in the pit of the stomach is a natural phenomenon to all network marketing failures. Now they begin a process of trying to find the next fix. They surf incessantly and read all their junk email in hopes of finding just the right program that again they can join, and again fail.

You may be saying at this point, "that would never happen to me. I am way too intelligent to fall for that." Really? You can literally be sucked into any program if the right person comes along at the right time and shows you just how he or she is making all this money. Case in point here. I was reading a Google Ad this morning as I was preparing my routine for writing articles and I came across one that was very appealing. The man and his wife were supposedly living an extravagant lifestyle that could be compared with "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous." His supposed evening meal bill was over $3000! And you know what was next? He was going to show you exactly what to do to achieve those goals and dreams for the low low price of only! You get the message. My God. These ads are everywhere. They come in our email, they are seen in our surfing, they are everywhere we are on the net. How many are real? I have no way of knowing, but I can tell you one thing. When I right click and view the source of the website I will bet you good money that nearly all of these sites are not search engine friendly and have absolutely no chance at obtaining a top position on Google.

Now you might ask me what is this important? Google is about one thing and one thing only. They place the top sites on any keyword category that contain the necessary elements for search engine success. These sites will have a keyword rich title, significant pointed keywords and a good metatag description. Now you may hear experts tell you about what to do and what not to do on Google, but I will tell you this. In my seo career, these elements are necessary to grab a top spot on Google and to hold it. Bottom line, there are no shortcuts.

Back to our friend Mr. Marketer. He has spent a ton of money to have those Google ad words in place for people like you to join his massive wealth building system. In other words my friend, you have just been marketed to. You are being drawn in by the massive claims of making money. The attractive photos of him and his special family living the life of elegance on a tropical beach are becoming more appealing to you by the moment. You are tempted to join because in the dead of winter, nothing looks better than a tropical beach. All the ad copy is tempting you to join this fantastic program. Once you join, you will probably get an autoresponder message that will tell you all that you need to do to become successful. You have taken the bait, hook, line and sinker. You are preparing yourself to be reeled in.

Real internet marketing systems are out there for us to find. The key is to be ever diligent in your pursuit of not spending your grocery and rent money to join these programs. If you are having just enough money to live on, keep your money and find the real systems designed for real people like you. Don't fall for the great ad copy and pulling power of these cheesy websites. They are designed to separate you from your living money.

Calcium carbonate contributes to our health in supplement form by stabilizing stomach acids. These supplements have also been shown to reduce a person’s risk for colon cancer. Some people find that calcium carbonate provides relief from muscle cramps or cramps associated with PMS

Chelated calcium is calcium carbonate bound to protein (calcium orotate, calcium lactate, calcium citrate, etc.). These have been shown to effectively balance the ratio of “good” cholesterol (HDL) to “bad” cholesterol (LDL).

Calcium from bone meal and MCHC works best with teeth and bones. For instance, calcium carbonate will not help with the worst cases of osteoporosis. Yet studies have shown that MCHC may improve/increase bone density as much as 6% in a single year! Let me repeat this: In clinical trials where bone density is measured, the greatest benefits to teeth and bones came from MCHC. Calcium carbonate provided only a fraction of the protection of MCHC.

One of the primary sources of calcium is from food itself. After all, where do animals get their calcium? From fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fish and some meats! We are no different. We should eat up to nine servings of fruit and vegetables daily to ensure that we get enough calcium. We can increase the likelihood of a consistent calcium supply by supplementing with an appropriate source of calcium.

The dairy debate

One common recommendation for the prevention of osteoporosis is to drink milk and eat milk-based foods. This recommendation is based on the observation that milk contains a significant amount of calcium. Yet many people are allergic to milk and have difficulty drinking the recommended amount.

Further, the Physicians Health Study reported a 30% increase in prostate cancer occurrence for male doctors who consumed dairy products. And a Harvard study of over 12,000 women found that those who consumed the recommended amount of calcium from a milk source had twice the risk of hip fractures than women who primarily got their calcium from non-milk sources.

Finally, the journal Pediatrics found that milk consumption had no impact on bone density among young girls.

The problem with red meat

Beef and other red meats have been cited as another source of calcium. As mentioned earlier, all muscles must have calcium in order to function properly. Steak, roast and ground beef all come primarily from muscles. Therefore, it is no surprise that muscle meats contain significant amounts of calcium.

Beef also contains an abundance of a fat called arachidonic acid (AA). This fat is very inflammatory. AA is why red meat has gained such a bad reputation; eating too much can cause or contribute to many serious health problems. Arachidonic acid may be a good reason to avoid beef as a source of calcium.

Conversely, wild salmon has anti-inflammatory fats and as much as eight times more calcium that beef. And the vegetable okra is even higher in calcium.

The bottom line

The evidence is clear: Calcium from fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds is the best when it comes to dietary sources of calcium. And, when it comes to supplements, MCHC is far superior to all other supplements at building strong bones!
