I recently returned from my daughters and while there we of course went shopping. And of course I found a purse that I could not resist. It is really cute and has leather bows on the side giving it an effect of those bows are attached to a leather strap that can be pulled to close the purse. It has the leather straps also for the handle.
About a week after I came home, my ten year old granddaughter who lives in the same town as we do, came over and exclaimed, “Grandma, where did you get that purse, will you please give it to me, please, please?” She knows that usually does the trick and I give in, but I really liked this purse, so I told her when I got done with it, she could have it. She said, “Okay, I will just wait until next month when you get another one, then I can have this one.” I told her it would be longer than that, but her Grandfather agreed with her.
Well, a week later I was invited to a purse party, have you ever been to one???? It is a hoot and we had so much fun. Of course I took my granddaughter with me. She carried my purse and told everyone it was hers as soon as we left. At any rate, they had about a foot high on a long table just about every imaginable color and texture of place mats. Anyway that is what they looked like to us. First you picked out your place mats, 1 for small purse and 2 for large one. Then you had to pick out any embellishments that you wanted to put on it like fur or string of beads or large pins, (without the pins in the back to pin it on with), just all kinds of things. Our next place was to go to the strap table and pick out the kind of straps that you wanted on your purse.
Well, here is what we came up with. We picked out two place mats of black leather that had two horizontal seams going one way and then the other so they crossed in the center. The purse lady said in sewing them they took quite a bit of the bottom for the bottom of the purse so we didn’t get to keep the exact crossing of the seams in the middle. So we picked a large round silver medallion looking, to put in the center. My granddaughter picked out the strap, which ended up being like a bracelet with segments being about two inches long. Every other one was black and the opposite was clear.
Much to my Granddaughters disappointment, we had to leave it all there for the lady to take to get sewed. So now she has to wait 3-5 weeks before it is done. But at lease she knows she will get Grandma’s purse in the month range.

Unplug the phone and try not to surf the web also, turn off the television and actually be at work. Even if you are in the comfort of your own home if you can do something that makes it feel like you are at work you are going to see that you are benefiting from being at work and able to get your work done. This is something that is very important because if you don not have a set time to do your work each day, there is a chance that you are not going to get your work done and that working from home will end up being less profitable than it could be.
